The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) runs/governs the cricket in India. It is considered as the richest cricket board in the world. BCCI is headed by the President, who is elected at the BCCI's Annual General Meeting with each of the 30 affiliates of the BCCI getting a vote. The outgoing president also has a vote as chairman of the meeting. The post is rotated zone-wise across India and a person can hold the post of BCCI president for a maximum of three years. Jagmohan Dalmiya was the only person who has taken over the president's post three times.
The very first President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was Mr. R E Grant Govan. Recently Former India captain Mr. Sourav Ganguly has been elected as the next President of BCCI. Sourav Ganguly will hold the post for the 10 months.
