INS Nilgiri: As the lead ship of the Project 17A frigates, INS Nilgiri is a significant upgrade from the Shivalik-class, featuring cutting-edge stealth technology and advanced weaponry to enhance naval defense capabilities.
INS Surat: The final destroyer under Project 15B, INS Surat is a refined version of the Kolkata-class destroyers. It comes equipped with indigenous weapon systems and long-range missiles, demonstrating India’s commitment to self-reliance.
Project 15B focuses on constructing four next-generation guided-missile destroyers.
INS Vaghsheer: The sixth and final submarine in the Scorpene-class (Project 75), INS Vaghsheer is one of the world’s stealthiest diesel-electric submarines.
It is designed for anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare, reconnaissance, and special operations.
Under Project 75 (India), the Navy aims to develop 18 conventional submarines alongside six nuclear-powered ones, reinforcing its underwater combat capabilities.
