Army conducts integrated field exercise ‘Teesta Prahar’ using next-gen weapons - Latest Defence Current Affairs 2025

The Indian Army conducted a large-scale integrated field exercise, ‘Teesta Prahar’, at the Teesta Field Firing Range near Siliguri, North Bengal. Read: The Latest Defence Current Affairs Notes here


‘Chicken’s Neck’ or the Siliguri corridor is a narrow 22-km land corridor connecting the northeastern states with the rest of India.


The drill showcased newly inducted next-gen weapon systems and validated the combat readiness and synergy of various arms under realistic battlefield conditions.


Key participants included Infantry, Artillery, Armoured Corps, Mechanised Infantry, Para SF, Army Aviation, Engineers, and Signals.
