India, a union of states, is a Sovereign, Secular, Democratic Republic with a Parliamentary system of Government. India, the 7th largest country in the world, has 28 states and 8 Union territories. Every state is ruled by a Chief Minister. Union Territories are administered by the President through an Administrator appointed by him/her. Here we have covered the list of the Indian States, Union Territories, and their capitals.
