  1. The Indian Navy marked a major indigenous shipbuilding milestone with the launch of Shachi (Yard 1280), the first of eleven Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels (NGOPVs), at Goa Shipyard Limited. The name is derived from Indian mythology, meaning One Who Renders Assistance.


  1. Dunagiri is the indigenous stealth frigate delivered to the Indian Navy as part of Project 17A, which represents the Nilgiri class of advanced warships. Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers in Kolkata.


  1. The Sanshodhak (Yard 3028) was delivered to the Indian Navy. It is the fourth and final Survey Vessel (Large) built under a four-ship project at Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) in Kolkata.


  1. The Malwan – Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft was delivered to the Indian Navy. It is the second of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW SWC) built by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), Kochi.


  1. Adani Defense and Aerospace has delivered the first batch of 2000 'Prahar' Light Machine Guns (LMGs) to the Indian Army. These guns were manufactured in India under the initiative of Make In India. These 7.62 mm calibre guns are part of the larger order of 40,000 units.


  1. The IONS Maritime Exercise (IMEX) TTX 2026 was conducted at the Maritime Warfare Centre under the Southern Naval Command in Kochi. This year, India assumed the chairmanship of the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) for the 2026–2028 cycle.


  1. DRDO, in collaboration with the Indian Navy, successfully carried out four in-flight release trials of the indigenous Air Droppable Container (ADC-150). The trials were conducted from a P8I aircraft. The ADC-150 is designed to carry and deliver a payload of 150 kg to naval ships operating in distant waters.


  1. Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth has been appointed as the Vice Chief of the Army Staff (VCOAS) of the Indian Army with effect from April 1, 2026. Before this appointment, he served as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Southern Command based in Pune. Lt Gen Seth will succeed Lieutenant General PP Singh.
