Dronasimha (502–520 CE) was the son of Bhatarka, the founder of the Maitraka dynasty of Vallabhi (Saurashtra, Gujarat).
Bhatarka used the title of Senapati. According to the name Parama-Maheshwara in the grants, he is said to have worshipped Shaiva. The eldest son of Bhatarka, Dharasena I, succeeded him.
Dharasena I's younger brother, Dronasimha, succeeded him. He proclaimed himself Maharaja.
The capital of the Maitraka dynasty was Girnar and later shifted to Vallabhi.
