INTRODUCTION

“India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grandmother of tradition. Our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only." - Mark Twain

Now, I am sure that after reading the above quote by the great Mark Twain, you don't need any extra explanation about this amazing country, India.
However, I will give you a brief note of the Republic of India before diving into the most shockingly amazing facts of India.

India, a country in South Asia is the seventh largest country by area, the second largest by population ( with 1.3 billion people ) and the most populous democracy in the world. It's official languages are Hindi and English, which makes India the second largest English speaking nation.

  1. After defeating Germany 8-1 in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, Major Dhyan Chand was summoned by Hitler. He was promised German citizenship, a high post in the German military and the chance to play for the German national side. Dhyan Chand however declined the offer.

  17. Magnetic Hill is a gravity hill located near Leh in Ladakh, India. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference.
