RAPID FIRE QUESTIONS IN SSB - WHAT & IT'S PURPOSE

Rapid fire questions : - When a bunch of questions is fired rapidly then it becomes rapid fire.

Every question posed in you, has got a sense and relation to the job requirement of the forces.

The purpose of rapid fire questions in SSB personal interview is to find out your I.Q. level, effective intelligence, grasp, logical reasoning, confidence, patience, power of expression and the mental stamina etc.

Number of questions is decided immediately by the interviewing officer considering your O.I.R. ( Officers Intelligence Rating ).

If you are O.I.R. - 2, he may fire more than 20 questions, O.I.R. - 3 may face between 15 to 20 questions, in case of O.I.R. - 4 it may range between 10 - 15 questions and O.I.R. - 5 is rarely recommended.

EXAMPLE RAPID FIRE QUESTIONS FROM JOURNEY

President - Amir, what do people call you at your home ?

Amir - Bhai, sir.

President - Should I call you Amir or Bhai ?

Amir - Amir would be better, sir.

President - Amir, you are from Lucknow, right ?

Amir - Right, sir.

President - Amir, please tell me, When you got the call up letter ?, At what time you left your house ? When you reached the station ? How long you waited for the train ? In which compartment you boarded ? How much was the fare ? How many stations came in between Lucknow to Allahabad ? And at what time you reported here.

EXAMPLE RAPID FIRE QUESTIONS FROM YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

President - Amir, do you get enough time for your hobbies and interests that you have mentioned in your P.I.Q. ?

Amir - Yes, sir.

President - Amir, please tell me - At what time you get up ? How much do you take for nature call ? What do you do after that ? When do you take your breakfast ? At what time do you study ? When do you go to your School/ College/ Office ? How much time does it take ? What is the distance ? When do you come back ? and then what do you do ?

EXAMPLE RAPID FIRE QUESTIONS FROM FAMILY

President - Amir, are you from Lucknow ?

Amir - Yes, sir.

President - Amir, please tell me about your family, right from your father, his qualification, routine, monthly income, good and bad habits, like and dislikes, occasions on which he gets annoyed, about your mother, her qualification, interest, routine issues on which she becomes happy and annoyed; good and bad habits, about your siblings, their education, so far what they have done till now, what they would like to become and finally on what matters you all agree and disagree and how you resolve ?

TIPS FOR DOING WELL

Please answer in the same sequence that too confidently. Confidence is maintained when you remain honest and natural.

If you are not able to answer in order them complete your answers and say sorry sir, I have not been able to maintain the sequence, Interviewing Officer may excuse you seeing you humble and natural.

The best way is to stay consistent, positive, honest and natural.
