NCC Celebrates its 76th Raising Day - Defence Current Affairs

The National Cadet Corps (NCC), the world’s largest uniformed youth organization, was raised on July 15, 1948. The first NCC unit was raised in Delhi on the last Sunday of November 1948, under the leadership of India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. This day is traditionally celebrated as NCC Day.


To mark the occasion, Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh paid tribute to fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi, representing the entire NCC community.


About NCC?


The National Cadet Corps is a youth organization that brings together the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Its goal is to train and guide young people to become disciplined and patriotic citizens.
