These helicopters have been a part of Republic Day flypasts for over 15 years.
Similarly, the locally developed Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas will also miss the flypast, as the Indian Air Force has decided to exclude single-engine aircraft from the parade.
Manufactured by HAL, the Tejas is a versatile platform designed for air combat, offensive support missions, reconnaissance, and anti-ship operations.
The flypast will feature an impressive lineup of 22 fighter jets, 11 transport aircraft, seven helicopters, and three Dornier surveillance planes.
Among the highlights, a Rafale fighter jet will showcase its prowess, while the IAF marching contingent, consisting of 144 personnel, will add to the grandeur of the event.
