India and the United States are set to conduct the 16th edition of Exercise Vajra Prahar from February 23 to March 15, 2026. The joint exercise will take place at the Special Forces Training School in Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh. Read: The Latest Defence Current Affairs Notes here
The previous, 15th, edition of Vajra Prahar was held in Idaho, USA, in 2024, with participation of 45 personnel from each country.
The Indian contingent comprises personnel from the Indian Army’s Special Forces. The United States will be represented by the United States Army, including its elite Green Berets.
Apart from Vajra Prahar, India and the US also conduct other military exercises such as Yudh Abhyas (Army exercise), Malabar (Naval exercise), and Cope India (Air Force exercise).
