These rockets, developed by DRDO, can hit targets over 80 kilometers away. At the same time, India is also delivering the Akash air defense missile system to Armenia.
The first batch of Pinaka rocket launchers has already been sent, according to defense sources.
The agreement to supply these weapons was finalized about two years ago after long discussions between Indian companies and Armenia.
Armenia is one of the top three buyers of Indian defense equipment, along with the US and France.
Several countries in Southeast Asia and Europe have also shown interest in purchasing Pinaka rockets, including France.
