Mongolia is hosting the 17th edition of the India-Mongolia Joint Military Exercise Nomadic Elephant.The exercise is planned to take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from May 31 to June 13, 2025. Read: The Latest Defence Current Affairs Notes here
The exercise Nomadic Elephant is an annual event conducted alternatively in India and Mongolia.
The Indian contingent will be represented mainly by troops from a battalion of the Arunachal Scouts.
The last edition of the exercise was held in Umroi, Meghalaya, in July 2024.
The first edition of the Nomadic Elephant military exercise was hosted by Mongolia in 2004.
